Celebrating 44 years of music WITH CONNIE UEJIO
After an extraordinary 44 seasons with the Hawai‘i Symphony Orchestra, Connie Uejio is retiring from her role as principal harpist. A dedicated member of the HSO and its predecessor, the Honolulu Symphony, Connie has been a cornerstone of the orchestra’s sound for more than four decades.
Known for her grace, precision, and musical sensitivity, Connie’s harp playing has touched generations of concertgoers and elevated countless performances, from symphonic masterworks to intimate chamber music. Her presence on stage has been both elegant and enduring, and her contributions to Hawai‘i’s musical landscape are immeasurable.
As we prepare to say a fond aloha to Connie, we invite you to make a gift in her honor to celebrate her remarkable career.
Donors who contribute $250 or more in Connie’s honor will be invited to a special reception following the June 15 concert, where we will toast her incredible legacy with members of the orchestra and HSO community.
