This year, we have the privilege and joy of welcoming musicians of our Hawai‘i community to join the stage with your Hawai‘i Symphony Orchestra. Don’t miss this opportunity to perform under the leadership of HSO's dynamic Music and Artistic Director Dane Lam!

Rehearsals will culminate in a free public concert at the Neal Blaisdell Concert Hall.

Requirements:

• No audition necessary.

• Registrants must be 18 or older and out of high school. 

• Registrants must be able to read music and play a standard orchestra instrument.

  • Please review repertoire below to assess personal proficiency prior to registering

• Dress code: performance black with HSO T-shirt (see registration fee)

• The deadline to register is May 15, 2026. No late registrations will be accepted. 

• A participation fee of $75 will be submitted with registration. The fee must be submitted with registration to be eligible. Pending acceptance into the performance, the fee will be non-refundable.

• Your registration fee includes:

  • Spot Reservation in the Community Side-by-Side performance

  • One Free Concert Ticket to enjoy at a future concert of choice in the 2025/26 Season.

  • Exclusive Event T-Shirt as a keepsake

• Participants must guarantee availability for the specified dates in the event they are chosen for the Hawaiʻi Symphony Community Side-By-Side. 

• Participation requires regular and punctual attendance at rehearsal and performance, absence at the rehearsal may result in immediate dismissal from the program.
