LIFELONG LEARNERS
1.
Masterclasses
The Hawai‘i Symphony Orchestra is proud to present our Masterclass Series, a program that fosters the next generation of musicians while enriching our community.
These events invite world-renowned artists to share their artistry and mentorship with local students in front of a live audience, offering inspiration not only to the young performers but to everyone in attendance.
We hope you’ll join us for these inspiring sessions of music and mentorship.

Conversation, curiosity, and a closer look at the music.
Coffee Talks
HSO Coffee Talks are free, informal community gatherings that bring audiences together with HSO musicians, artistic leaders, composers, and special guests for a 45–60 minute conversation exploring the music, ideas, and stories connected to the orchestra’s programming.
Held in a relaxed setting over coffee and light refreshments, each talk offers a different topic and an opportunity to hear directly from the people behind the music. No prior musical knowledge is needed—Coffee Talks are designed to encourage questions, conversation, and lifelong learning.
Coffee Talks are free and open to the community. Advance registration may be required as seating is limited.

Pre Concert Conversations
Discover more behind the music.
Pre-Concert Conversations invite audiences to explore the music, composers, artists, and ideas behind each Halekulani Masterworks program. Open to listeners of all experience levels, these conversations deepen understanding, encourage curiosity, and offer new perspectives on the music heard in the concert hall.
Included with your concert ticket. Pre-Concert Conversations begin one hour before each Halekulani Masterworks performance.
