The Beethoven Festival kicks off with classical beginnings, Symphony No. 1, paired with the game-changing Symphony No. 3. ‘Erorica.’ Originally dedicated to Napoleon Bonaparte, the heroic Third represents the composer’s revolt against tyranny, revolutionizing music like no other symphony that came before.

This performance is included in the Masterworks 9 Subscription.
