Symphony of the Hawaiʻi Forests

about

The Symphony of the Hawai‘i Forests was created to tell the story of Hawai‘i's forests and empower students, educators, and the general public to connect to our trees, be part of the movement to enhance our forests, through planting trees, taking better care of existing trees, and contributing resources toward impact programs that support tree planting and tree care.

Our musicians will help re-connect our audience with forests and instill in them a profound, lifelong love of nature through the breadth of Hawai‘i's artistic genres, media, and practitioners. This multidisciplinary approach can appeal to aspiring scientists, musicians, artists, dancers, and learners of all ages.

“Symphony of the Hawai‘i Forests brings together music, art, science, hula, and storytelling to better connect the keiki with the forests of Hawai‘i through an immersive performance that fully embodies the collaborative spirit.

Come watch the Hawai‘i Symphony Orchestra as they perform new music and animation of newly created ka‘ao (folktales) that tell unforgettable stories about the forests of Hawai‘i. The end result will be a performance that is as multifaceted as our forests.”
