In 2001, she made a remarkable debut in the U.S. at the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition, where she became the Gold Medal winner—the first woman to achieve this prestigious honor in fifty years. Join Kern as she graces the stage with your Hawaiʻi Symphony Orchestra, led by guest conductor Andrew Grams, for Beethoven's "Emperor" Piano Concerto, paired with Schubert's Third Symphony.
